What it is and what it does. 192B is the softener of the rack nickel bright system, the additive that keeps the bright deposit ductile so that it survives the bending and riveting operations used on zipper sliders.
- Pale yellow to amber clear liquid, dosed alongside 192A at a fixed ratio.
- Without it, the bright nickel layer becomes stressed and cracks during the mechanical assembly steps.
- Measured by the bend test or by the ductility strip test on a plated panel.
