What it is and what it does. Phosphor copper anode is the copper anode containing a controlled amount of phosphorus, used in acid copper plating where it produces a uniform, adherent anode film and keeps the bath metal balanced.
- Copper-red metal balls or plates with a phosphorus content of about 0.03-0.06%.
- The phosphorus content controls the anode polarisation, which decides whether the anode dissolves evenly or sludges heavily.
- Ball form is used in titanium anode baskets; plate form is used on hooks.
