What it is and what it does. Wax remover is the alkaline cleaning concentrate formulated to strip polishing wax, buffing compound and the resin binders left on zipper sliders and hardware after barrel polishing.
- Pale yellow clear liquid; used at 5-15% in water, normally in an ultrasonic or barrel process.
- The blend of surfactants and solvents penetrates the wax film and lifts it from the metal.
- The bath is maintained on its free-alkalinity titration and dumped when the wax stops separating.
