What it is and what it does. Ni30B is the potential difference agent of the Ni30 semi-bright nickel system, the additive that sets the electrochemical relationship between the semi-bright and the bright nickel layers.

- The potential difference is the heart of a duplex nickel system: it decides whether corrosion spreads sideways or pits straight through.
