What it is and what it does. QLQ-CL3 is an alkaline copper brightener used in the cyanide and non-cyanide alkaline copper baths to give a bright, well levelled copper layer on zinc die-cast hardware.
- Dark blue to purple clear liquid, dosed from a dilute stock solution.
- Alkaline copper brighteners work differently from the acid copper systems, and the additive balance must be matched to the bath type.
- Used mainly for the bright appearance of die-cast sliders before nickel plating.
