What it is and what it does. Liquid Teflon coating is the PTFE dispersion applied to tooling, moulds and some hardware to give a low-friction, non-stick, heat-resistant surface.
- Milky white to pale grey dispersion; the polymer is dispersed rather than dissolved, so the coating must be cured at elevated temperature.
- Used on moulds and on parts where friction and release matter more than appearance.
- The film is thin, chemically inert and resistant to a wide temperature range once cured.
