What it is and what it does. Short gloves (acid and alkali resistant) are the wrist-length PPE for light chemical handling, maintenance and plating-line work where full-arm protection is not needed.
- Short PVC or nitrile coated gloves with a knitted lining, for general chemical handling and workshop use.
- Cheaper and more flexible than the long gloves, which is why they are the everyday glove in most shops.
- They do not protect the forearm, so they are not suitable for reaching into tanks.
